Day 6 of lockdown from my window in Getxo, Basque Country. It sounds someone is still flying out from here. Or in, who knows.

18th of March, 2020. I never noticed how much human voice resonated in the little plaza in front of our window. Interesting how the still image always look the same, day after day, while soundscape is so varied.

An empty stream, a great silence, an impenetrable forest

A sound art sonification project from 2017, that focused around the problem of uncontrolled, autonomous reforestation in vast areas of Central and Southern Italy. We decided to sonify the “forest that will be”, if humans keep abandoning those areas to move towards more ubranized centers, leaving century old agricultural practices behind.
